Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary onsite Bookkeeper/accounting resource for the restaurant. Prepare weekly payroll information for employees, including reviewing hours, timecards and tips for accuracy. Submit payroll information, new hires and employee changes to the corporate payroll team for processing. Coordinate new-hire onboarding and employee documentation. Enter and review daily sales information. Handle invoice entry and follow up on missing or outstanding invoices. Assist with cash activity, deposits and related reporting. Prepare recurring daily, weekly and monthly reports. Work directly with restaurant managers to resolve payroll, invoice and accounting questions. Keep financial and employee records accurate, organized and on schedule. Partner with the corporate accounting team for additional accounting support and reconciliations. Qualifications: Previous hands‑on bookkeeping, accounting or related financial experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Comfortable learning and working in multiple software systems. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Organized and able to manage recurring deadlines independently. Strong communication skills and comfortable interacting with employees and managers throughout the restaurant. Comfortable being the sole onsite bookkeeping/accounting person. Able to work 100% onsite in Washington, DC. Able to work a five-day, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule, including Mondays and your choice of Saturday or Sunday.
