We are seeking an Assistant Designer to support our premier retail client’s Apparel Design team with sketching, fabric development, PLM management, research, and submits. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, highly organized individual with a passion for fashion and a keen eye for design. Key Responsibilities: Assist in creating detailed sketches and technical flats for new designs. Manage and organize PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) data, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Support fabric development, including tracking submits, approvals, and communication with vendors. Conduct trend and market research to support the design team in concept development. Prepare and maintain design boards, tech packs, and seasonal overviews. Collaborate cross-functionally with design, production, and merchandising teams. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field. 1+ years of experience in apparel design. Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Experience with PLM software. An understanding of garment construction. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred: Previous experience with fabric development and working with vendors. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
